Alchemy - Sacred Secrets Revealed

Much of Alchemy is misunderstood and shrouded in mystery within magical and fraternal orders, it is our goal to unravel some of the aspects which remain hidden behind conventional history.


First of all what is alchemy?

The medieval forerunner of chemistry, based on the supposed transformation of matter. It was concerned particularly with attempts to convert base metals into gold or to find a universal elixir.” -Google

Many of the great minds of history studied and practiced Alchemy. It was responsible for sacred knowledge, sacred geometry, science, chemistry, medicine, healing, enlightenment, spirituality, and so much more.

Much of the history of Alchemy is scattered and viewed as only the science of attempting to changing regular metal into gold. Although that practice was probably attempted on the physical level, Alchemy has higher symbolic lessons about enlightenment and the transmutation of the soul.

The study of alchemy is as much a spiritual practice as it is a scientific study.

The Origin of Enochian Magick

The road to knowledge has always been an elusive one and scarcely is it easily tread. Only those lithe of mind can navigate the oceans of information we find ourselves in; discerning, scouring the horizon for truth's dim glow. For such aspirants, the task becomes a balancing act of intuition and the forging of a logical congruence of one's own. Few seekers find their solace; some grow old and tired, and surrender themselves to the mystery. Some flock to the stale, modern notion of the Scientific Method; one that leaves little if any room for such things as sacredness or divinity. Others yearn to deepen their spirituality and gravitate to the religious spheres, often becoming plagued with cognitive dissonance as faith replaces logic. John Dee, a man regarded as one of the most brilliant minds of the 16th century, was one such seeker. His quest for what he referred to as "radical knowledge", or knowledge of that which was beyond the normal understanding of reality, took him from a world of royal luxury and social status to the enigmatic and forsaken realms of what some call black magick. He's been described as the quintessential magician and his work has influenced everything from Shakespeare, navigation technologies, Elizabethan politics, to the current world of the occult.

I'll Be Home for Mithras

Did you know that Jesus was thought to have been born in a cave by early Christians, just like the Pagan God Mithras who the Romans worshiped before conquering Israel ?

But it's true, Virginia, nothing about our modern celebration of Christmas is biblical, and the total commercialization of Christmas has kicked it loose from any recognizable religious origins of any variety.

Below is link to a page with many of the details, but to sum it up, both Jesus and Mithras were born in a rock cave, were crucified on a cross and were put in a stone tomb. I wonder why Christianity hasn't kept these same older Christian ideas of Jesus being born in a cave alive ?

Early Christian tradition says that Jesus was born in a cave:

Justin Martyr wrote in the second century CE that Jesus was born in a cave. 

The Gospel of James, a.k.a. Infancy Gospel of James and the Protoevangelium of James,written circa 150 CE described the birth as being in a cave. 

Origen of Alexandria wrote during the second century CE in his book "Against Celsus" that:

"...there is shown at Bethlehem the cave where He was born and the manger in the cave where He was wrapped in swaddling-clothes. And this sight is greatly talked of in surrounding places, even among the enemies of the faith, it being said that in this cave was born that Jesus who is worshipped and reverenced by the Christians."

Who was Mithras? Basically, worship of the god Mithras became popular among Roman soldiers at its peak in the second and third centuries. Much of what we know about this religion comes from ancient reliefs and other sculptures. No written documents defining the mythology and ritual beliefs of Mithraism exist, so scholars can only do their best to interpret the elements pictured in what has survived through artwork. The basic myth begins with Mithras being born when he emerged from a rock. In this scene he is most often depicted as a youth, carrying a torch, a dagger, and wearing a soft cone-shaped cap with the top pulled forward (also known as a Phrygian cap), it looks like the caps The Smurfs wear. The most popular image of Mithras depicts him slaying a bull; thought to be the first act of creation (Manfred Claus, The Roman Cult of Mithras, p. 81).

While there are many who like to say that Christianity is just another form of Mithraism, if one looks at ALL of the evidence out there, this can clearly be seen to be false. While they do resemble each other to some degree, Mithraism can be found to be dated well after the establishment of the Christian religion. The mythology and rites of the earliest Mithraists do not present themselves as close parallels to Christian beliefs and practices.

Many of the supposed parallels between Christianity and Mithraism are based on outdated scholarship that relies heavily on the assumption that the Roman cult was a natural extension of the ancient Persian religion rather than an entirely new late first-century system.

In an effort to merge the two, people lacking in research will often attempt to point out parallels between the beliefs and practices of Christians to those of the Roman cult of Mithras.

The most common claims tossed around are generally:

Mithras preceded Christianity by roughly 600 years.

Mithras was born on December 25. 

He was considered a great teacher and had twelve disciples. 

Mithras also performed miracles. 

Mithras was called “the good shepherd,” “the way, the truth and the light,” “redeemer,” “savior,” and “messiah.” 

He was identified with the lion and the lamb. 

He was buried in a tomb and after three days he rose again and his resurrection was celebrated every year. 

Mithraism had a Eucharist or “Lord’s Supper” that involved consecrated bread and wine.
Their initiation ceremonies included a baptism to remove sins.

Mr. Crowley

Although Aleister Crowley was certainly anti-Christian, he was not anti-Christ. Like many scholars he simply recognized that religious organizations and paradigms do not prevail forever in pristine form, particularly if they fail to evolve and morph as man himself does. Through the ages the institutions of Christianity had become antihuman. Therefore, they need to be replaced by sane, modern ideologies for modern times. Those who see in Crowley nothing but a blustering iconoclast do well to remember that his penchant for deconstruction was balanced with a ability to conceive brilliant solutions to the problems bred by fundamentalist doctrines and dogma:

Crowley desired nothing less than the creation of a full-fledged successor religion - complete with a guiding Logos that would endure for millennia, as had the teachings of Jesus - Lawrence Sutin


Crowley's attacks reached their peak when he penned the slogan of the New Aeon - “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.” This misunderstood motto - adopted by hippies, anarchists, neo-pagans and pop icons - has nothing to do with political revolt and sexual license. It was not meant as a slogan for reactionaries bent on secular revolution, but for Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve dedicated to cleansing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual doors of perception.


"Do What Thou Wilt" does not mean "do what you please" though this degree of emancipation is implied...we can no longer say a priori that any course of action is "wrong." Every man and woman has an absolute right to do his or her own true will – A. C. (Secret Conference)

"Do What Thou Wilt"...is the apotheosis of Freedom; but it is also the strictest possible bond – A. C.

The motto “Do What Thou Wilt” implies attunement between the ego and Imperial Self; which cannot be achieved until the pseudo-self undergoes deconstruction. This deconstruction cannot occur until man separates himself from collective factors responsible for creating and perpetuating the pseudo-self. This separation cannot occur until man has developed sufficient psychic strength - or Will - to go his own way. Aloneness is usually wanting until a man's character is deepened by suffering, which is less likely in a conformist society that suppresses legitimate expressions of emotion and dissuades individuals from addressing the darker sides of life. Therefore, instead of attunement with the Imperial Self we have immersion in the Collective. As Crowley knew, the so-called “I” is not necessarily identical with the Imperial Self. The “self” or “I” of a spiritually inferior man is merely a pastiche of everyone’s attitudes and beliefs, the product of a pathogenic society. To such a creature, the idea of independence, aloneness and psychic sovereignty is contemplated with dread, and men who embody these states are despised and ridiculed on sight.

Whatever your sexual predilections may be, you are free, by the Law of Thelema, to be the star you are, to go your own way rejoicing. It is not indicated here in this text, though it is elsewhere implied, that only one symptom warns that you have mistaken your True Will, and that is, if you should imagine that in pursuing your way you interfere with that of another star. It may, therefore, be considered improper, as a general rule, for your sexual gratification to destroy, deform, or displease any other star. Mutual consent to the act is the condition thereof – A. C. “Do What Thou Wilt” sounds reprehensible only to those conditioned by religious and societal dogma, and those who wish to enslave the hearts and minds of humans by externally imposed, collectively endorsed morals and values. For such as these, Crowley will always be a veritable “Anti-Christ.” Certainly he was mischievous, irreverent, audacious and self-absorbed. Certainly he was capable of ridicule and hyperbole. Nevertheless, he was certainly of superior character, insight and intention to recent think-tank-funded "people's champions" and media icons who encourage psychic regression and enslavement with chic pop-culture platitudes. His message is an anathema to the hippy and "New-Ager" as much as it is to the buttoned-down Evangelist and Wall Street slicker.

Aleister Crowley was dedicated to all men and women being free to do their own true wills in accordance with their own true natures. He was not...the most evil man in the world, devoted to the vile practices of Black Magic. He was, on the contrary, a devotee of love and will who sought to enlighten humanity


We see then, that we can never affect anything outside ourselves save only as it is also within us. Whatever I do to another, I also do to myself. What most forget is that true freedom ultimately involves considerable personal responsibility. To attune with the Natural Order and bring one’s being to harmony requires discipline, goodness, virtue, morality, honor,  integrity, principle, probity, honesty, trustworthiness, uprightness, decency, and good character.

The Flow To Go

Poetic licence rules with an iron fist when they unite their energies, Neptune dissolves and diffuses Saturn concretises and defines. ‘Holding it all together’ and ‘going with the flow’ are no longer hippy mantras but mutually bound necessities that must find a synthesis. For us the computer screen world has become a worm-hole into the universes of the imagination and these in turn become real by virtue of the underlying force of their emotional impact.

Sophia is a central figure of the Gnostic texts and is a central figure in the Odes of Solomon found in the Gnostic text, Pistis Sophia. Every mystical branch of every religion refers to her. She is universal.

Sophia is that part of humanity that gives us unlimited power. The part that is coveted by the Masters of The Elite. An ability they do not have nor can they hope to attain. The ability that can bring them down through proper use and meditation. Sophia can and will begin to reverse the damage once you have contacted that part of you. Humanity joining together and using the gifts bestowed to us is all it takes. Learn this knowledge and pass it on.

The early Judeo-Christian Gnostics referred to her as the Wisdom of God. She is God’s feminine half—the compassionate side. She is the Holy Ghost, the Logos, Word, or Tao. She is Universal Intelligence projected into this realm by the First Manifested described in Gnostic Cosmology. She originates from regions outside time and space; from the world of the Shamans—the unconscious. She is infinite intelligence and wisdom always providing guidance and help to those who ask. Because she is beyond space and time, she is the source of synchronistic events and exists just behind the veil. Sophia sends us messages in dreams, often found through archetypal symbols found in mythology and alchemy. In psychological terms, von Franz describes her as representing the collective unconscious as “the sum of all the original idea patterns of reality.” (von Franz, Alchemy, p.184)

In St. Thomas Aquinas’s alchemical treatise, Aurora consurgens, Sophia seeks the human being who is worthy of her. She whispers in our ears in those quiet moments when we are still, to come and draw near. “Leave the ways of the Corruptor, and come near to me and I will enter into you and make you wise in the way of Truth.” (Ode to Solomon, p. 146) This represents the mystical marriage of our soul with the godhead. It represents the merging of our consciousness with our ‘diamond body’ by turning off the ‘out-flowing’ of our individual will. Once this happens we will possess a higher state of awareness and gradually melt and merge into something else—our beloved.

Rise

None of us is in danger of losing sight of the world's suffering. Every form of news media, art, and entertainment relentlessly barrages us with reminders. The pronunciation of both the vowel and the consonant varied by language, time, and place.

Fight Evil, Do Not Let It Fill You

Do not carry the poison of evil within yourself

In a world filled with evil, as you can see everywhere, there is a tendency of identification with it, and its penetration into your depths. If you succumb to its influence and begin to carry it within yourselves, even from motivation to fight it, you will get nowhere, but to become the bearer of evil, hatred, revenge, jealousy, etc.

Thus, your creative energy is tied into a tight knot with evil instead of trying to find some creative solutions that are always there, but instead enter in the fight against evil, and thus identify with it. Your very being is simply poisoned by this senseless reaction, and you are drawn into the process of "struggle", not seeing that it simply drains you and redirects your creative energy into dead end direction.

Yes, to fight the evil is a noble task. But only if you do not fill your soul with it. Revenge and hatred does not solve anything. But the fight for Life, your mother, brother, friend, wife, and children - is another matter. Because you are not fighting just from hate, but in the name of Good and Life, and thus clear the your house from trash and dirt of evil. And trash and dirt certainly stand in your way, and therefore to cleanse your house out of love for your neighbor, and for Life itself, creativity and prosperity is worthy of 
your energy.

But this struggle will bring real benefits, leading to Good, only if it is carried out with AWARENESS, with clarity of mind, but not from blind rage and hate, greed, envy and blind denial. Otherwise, you yourself will become that evil dragon, you were trying to defeat, as it is said in the story of wisdom about the evil dragon.

Try to look for solutions, not just to fight. And it does not matter how small and "insignificant" your contribution may seem to you. Any decision, any genuine progress is a part of a larger solution. Trust yourself. Perfection is sitting right inside of yourselves, no matter of how "big" or "small it may seem to you."

It is necessary to disseminate quality information that reveals the essence, to organize yourselves into groups to propose the legislative bills, write the statements, without worrying about how effective they may turn out to be, to think about constructive solutions to existing problems, and bring up the legal complaints against the bearers of evil in all courts. Because this is probably one of the most effective methods. And the evidence you have is MOUNTAINOUS. Just Dig. It is ALL there "in the house of a good host."
